I Want One! | Clare
I don’t know if it’s the summer heat or this overwhelming urge to detox but I really want a portable bathtub.
Our home has three bathrooms, all of them with that tiled division between the rest of the bathroom and the shower area. So there’s basically this tub-like area when you shower, but it’s not exactly a tub. I don’t know what that’s called exactly but that’s what it is.
Installing a tub in one of these bathrooms is too expensive for this silly urge of mine, so I went online to look for an alternative. I found several inflatable portable tubs, mostly looking like inflatable pools for one person, with covers so that the person on the tub can still eat, or work on the cover while soaking on the tub (who on earth will want to do that?). I thought they looked ridiculous and I opted out of buying one.
I found this website from someone in Singapore selling portable tubs for people with small bathrooms in their apartments. I think that this is the best bet for me and I want it like crazy. Problem is, I worry that even if I pay for it and get it shipped here, I may have to pay a higher fee with customs for it and it might not be practical.
Should I buy the tub? Should I just check into a hotel and soak in the tub there (thinking of all the people who have probably done the same there though…ew)? Should I buy some sort of tarp to put in our sort of tub area and soak there instead (LOL!)? Get a kiddie pool to soak in with my planned Epsom salt bath?
This idea has me going crazy. The heat isn’t helping either. To my wide array of readers (all 5 of you — or less), what do you think?
